Serena is our oldest and most serious alpaca of the heard! She is 15 and a therapy alpaca capable of visits to retirement homes, hospitals and has even been in a car and elevator! She also likes to wink and her favourite thing to do is stomp in her pool for more water to be sprayed on her! She is the leader of the pack, but usually stands back to let the other girls shine! She is protective of her entire family and is often staring at mom from a distance!
Daisy is 12 and the mama of Samara! She is very shy and can usually be found standing or sitting alone or with her BFF, Juliet! She never spits or causes trouble and is a sweet quiet girl!
Ginger is 11 years old and is one of the most social and talkative of the pack! She has the sweetest little face and loves to be close to people and animals. Ginger loves to give kisses! She also loves to be spoken to! She is very curious of everything around her and is always wide eyes looking for goats or bunnies on the farm!
Samara is the daughter of Daisy! She is 10 and is a big alpaca! The largest (And sassiest) of the herd! She is a Diva and has a lot of attitude! Most days she is stand offish and may even spit at you (lol) but other days she will lay right down in front of you for snuggles and pets!
Tansy girl is 10 years old and the mama of Juliet!
Tansy is one of the sassiest alpacas on the farm (next to Samara of coarse) and by far, the most vocal! She constantly hums throughout the day!
Tansy loves to eat! She will do a little dance and chase you around for treats and even pull at your shirt for attention! She is not good at sharing but she is great at pushing her sisters out of the way!
Evita has beautiful colouring and fibres and is 11 years old! She is super playful and curious and like her sisters, loves to eat snacks! She is the first to run out the gates if we let her! Her Lily are BFF's and Evita's favourite thing to do is chase the ducks!
Shadow is the darkest alpaca of the group- hence the name! She is 7 years old and loves to pig out with her little sister, Lily! Shadow loves to give kisses and be sprayed with the hose on hot summer days!
Sadly, on April 3rd 2022 Shadow unexpectedly passed away. We will forever miss her and her sweet alpaca kisses!
Sanjee is 8 years old and like Feather, she loves to follow whatever her sisters are doing! She is one of the most quiet of the pack and most shy, so far- but she loves to stare at herself in the mirror, along with the other girls! Sanjee's favourite thing to do is jump up for the hose to be sprayed on her tummy and to sit on her sisters backs!
Feather is 6 years old and by far the most photogenic! She has the fluffiest hair of the pack and is extremely adorable! She also loves to follow her sisters wherever they go! She has by far the best hair- do on the farm- a mohawk!
She got her name because she has a little birth mark shaped like a feather on her neck!
Juliet is 5 years old and our only grey/multi coloured girl! She has beautiful colouring and is the daughter of Tansy!
Juliet does not stray far from her mama or her BFF, Daisy; however she is becoming more independent since joining a larger herd. She loves treats and following her sisters around the field! Juliet loves to snuggle her mama when she goes to bed!
Lily is the baby of the pack. She is 4 years old. She loves to show off her bottom buck teeth and sneak her head into the treat bag! We like to call her "Lily Piggy piggy" because she loves to eat! Especially out of our hands!
Lily is very curious and most social! She is Mama's BFF and follows her around everywhere snooping around and getting into whatever she can! Lily is most spoiled and a favourite to everyone who visits because of her sweet, outgoing, curious personality! She is quite possibly the cutest thing you will ever see! She is currently sporting a fine 80's rock-band mullet she would lOVE to show off to you!
Billy Bob is approximately 3 years old and is a therapy goat! He is a pygmy goat so he loves to climb, jump and run! he is a very sweet boy and loves to follow his sister dolly around the farm! He also loves jumping on and in anything he can and getting into monkey business with Dolly! In the afternoons you will find him napping on his recliner!
Dolly is a pgymy goat and is approximately 2 years old. She is a therapy goat and loves to follow mama all over the farm or go for Jeep rides to Tim Hortons! Sometimes she gets into monkey business with her big brother, Billy Bob, but it is hard to stay mad at her with those beautiful hypnotic blue eyes!
We currently have 3 adorable Mini Rex Bunnies on the farm! Rosie, Lake and R.J!
We offer bunny snuggle and feed time when you book an on the farm experience with us! They are super sweet and love eating fresh greens from your hands as well as jumping around in their tunnels!
We have a variety of chickens and some even lay easter eggs! (seriously!) Many of our layers are "easter egger" chickens of the Heritage breed, so they lay eggs in different shades of blues, greens, pinks and sometimes purples! Don't forget to pick some up before you leave the farm!
We have had a few different breeds of ducks over the years, but currently we have Khaki Campbells! Come see and feed them and find out why ducks are an important part of owning alpacas!
Linda is Julie's Mom and a huge part of Jolly Zee Alpacas! If you book a tour on the weekend, you're likely to have her as your guide! She is the ultimate Alpaca Grandma and Farmer and she is super knowledgable about all of the animals! She is always willing and eager to assist around the farm and loves interacting with the children who come visit the farm!
Hi! I’m Julie! The owner of Jolly Zee Alpacas! When I’m not herding alpacas, snuggling goats or bunnies or shovelling alpaca poop (hahaha) I’m a Professional Photographer and Professional Hair and Makeup Artist! I’ve been at it for 23 years! Give me a follow over at @juliebroadbentphotography
I have always had an obsession with alpacas! It started back in kindergarten and grew from there! I asked for an alpaca for my birthday and Christmas many times growing up! 😂 (my poor parents!)
Sadly, After losing my daughter 6 years ago, I started researching alpacas for therapy and what I needed to have to own one (or 11) I would spend hours watching funny videos of alpacas and planning my dream of one day owning alpacas and sharing the joy and love I have for them with others who may be struggling or grieving, etc.
In 2020 during the pandemic and while planning my wedding, I started visiting farms and looking for alpacas to attend my wedding! It was then that I instantly fell in love with Sharon and John from @alpacasfromeighthandmud and immediately started the process of purchasing alpacas! After the support of lots of loved ones, Jolly Zee Alpacas came to be!
I am so proud to be a “paca mama!”
